Daily Word

There are moments when life’s circumstances can start to silence your voice. When it feels as if each situation is trying to chase you and overtake you. But it’s in these times that we can’t look within, or around, we just have to look above. We have to open our mouths and cry out to God.  I’ve been bogged down by circumstances, and I was praying for relief, and this sermon really spoke to me. Pastor Cymbala encourages us not only to cry out but to sing in the midst of our battles. The very same day I listened to this, the same day I had no words to give to God,  my daily devotional was a scripture on singing, and my other devotional said this “Use what talents you possess: the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best”. I chose to respond to what God was commanding me to do, and there was a release that came with my obedience.

I encourage you to take this to heart and sing to the Lord. You may even pray that He give you a song to sing. The day after listening to this message, I woke up with “King of My Heart” running through my spirit, another reminder that God is never going to let me down, so I should just sing to Him, (here is a great version of the song)
