God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:6-7)
Many pastors stray away from speaking on tithes and offerings regularly because some might accuse the pastors of manipulating the congregation to give out of mere guilt. However, the fear that may happen is not enough of a reason to not preach about this Biblical Principle. As Pastor Durso shares, he explains the foundation of giving to God. And I’d like to add that giving what is owed to God is so much more rewarding than you can imagine, it is so awesome to be able to give back to the one who gives us everything (James 1:17) . And there comes a sense of unity when you give to the body of Christ, and then with that contribution, the body of Christ is able to fulfill all of what we are called to do. I hope that you take this message to heart, and begin to understand that your current circumstances do not dictate your duty to give a tithe to God.
